the sierra eastside is an outdoor recreation paradise. we can’t wait to show you our home!
in early june, we anticipate the ability to rock climb, ski, hike, fish, and soak in the natural hot springs.
june lake, Ca is geographically very close to yosemite and the surrounding high country. however, due to snow, access may be limited. please check back closer to the wedding date for details and updates.
Update: 2/20/19 - The Eastern Sierra has had a record breaking amount of snowfall in February. The Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort plans on being open until at least July 4th. This does not forebode well for the people hoping to travel over Tioga Pass (SR 120) through Yosemite National Park. The pass will probably open after June 15th. But, we will be resort skiing on the wedding weekend!
Update: 5/19/19 - Snow continues to fall here in the Eastern Sierra high country. While it’s warm down here in Bishop, the temperatures have remained colder than average up in June Lake area. We did ski pow at the resort on Friday. Looks like a wet upcoming week but hopefully that means we will return to normal after Memorial Day and just in time for the wedding. No word on Sonora Pass (SR 108) but they are hoping for a Memorial Day opening. Tioga Pass (SR 120) through Yosemite National Park will still be closed :(.
